Judy Stetson wanted to do something.

She wanted to find a way to combat the memories of 911 emergency calls, stress from the COVID-19 outbreak, one that even claimed the life of one of her adult students.

Stetson visualized her Star Wars lightsaber swishing away the fear and the anxiety. She chose to pursue the Miss Health and Fitness 2020 title.

The winner takes home the title and appears on the cover of the Muscle & Fitness Hers magazine. This year’s winner will be chosen by a public vote open until Oct. 8. Currently, Stetson is fifth in this round

Local control dispute brewing over Iowa mask mandates | Health and Fitness


County supervisors in Story County, the location of Ames and Iowa State University, are scheduled to consider a mask resolution on Tuesday after the county board of health voted last week to recommend a countywide mask requirement.

Ducey has until Tuesday to come up with criteria for gyms re-opening, judge rules | The Verde Independent


PHOENIX – Gov. Doug Ducey isn’t going to get additional time to fight a judge’s order that he have a process in place by Tuesday to allow gyms and fitness centers to seek to reopen.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Timothy Thomason on Friday rebuffed a bid by Ducey to delay his order while the governor seeks to have it reviewed by the state Court of Appeals. Thomason said that Ducey presented no evidence that the state would be irreparably harmed if these facilities are given a chance to show they can safely operate.
