SEOUL, South Korea–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Aug 3, 2020–

Odd Concepts, an AI-based fashion tech company (CEO: Kim Jeong-tae), launches AI style discovery platform to introduce a new paradigm in online fashion consumption to Singapore.

Odd Concepts announced that it launched ’StyleCrush ( www.stylecrush.is ),’ a style discovery platform developed using AI technology, in Singapore.

StyleCrush is a fashion discovery platform where consumers collect fashion style images according to their tastes in a digital album and the AI technology assists users to enjoy fashion by helping them conveniently search and purchase similar products.

When consumers upload style images like those of popular celebrities or paste in image links to StyleCrush, the AI system searches similar style products and connects consumers to shopping malls where they can purchase the products conveniently. If an image contains a bag or shoes in addition to clothes, the AI system also finds the accessories.

Consumers can build a wish list amongst the fashion products discovered through search and create an album with their preferred style images. In other words, StyleCrush is an online place where individual consumers can enjoy fashion by building their own collection of fashion styles.

Odd Concepts collaborates with Suggesty and Sta1 of Korea, as well as Qoo10, the largest shopping mall in Singapore, to help consumers discover and enjoy a greater variety of fashion styles on StyleCrush.

Suggesty is an online mall selling AI-curated Korean designer brands internationally and will share its database and apparels with StyleCrush. Sta1 is the largest Korean fashion platform where more than one million products from over six thousand brands are registered. StyleCrush carries South East Asia’s biggest amount of latest K-style fashion products.

To help consumers discover a greater variety of fashion styles across APAC, Odd Concepts will expand cooperation with fashion and apparel e-commerce partners in Singapore and ASEAN countries.

“StyleCrush reflects a new wave of needs which arises from the next generation consumers, amid the radical shift in the online fashion industry. AI assisting fashion discovery solely from a user style will become a new norm for the coming years,” said Brian S. Bae, Chief Strategy Officer at Odd Concepts. “We look forward to connecting online shopping malls to style wannabes across Asia.”

Established in 2012, Odd Concepts is a leading Vision AI company that provides PXL service, which recommends personalized products to consumers by utilizing AI in searching and analyzing images, to around 200 fashion e-commerce partners at home and in the APAC countries.

Since February, through the acquisition of SEACRUX, a Singaporean start-up, Odd Concepts has been promoting contextual targeting ad business based on applied machine learning, which is a service to analyze fashion products in the images of web pages viewed by consumers and suggest similar products to them, in the APAC markets.
