Tia Mowry Expands Into Home Goods With a New Collaboration With Etsy

“Decorating my space has always been about creating a calm, zen environment where I can unwind,” professes award-winning actress, entrepreneur, and mother of two Tia Mowry-Hardrict. And, says the former star of the classic 1990s sitcom Sister, Sister (yes, we openly admit that we were big fans!), “I’ve always been a huge fan of Etsy.”

And so this summer, the multi-talented business owner embarks on a new venture: a home goods collaboration, now available here on Etsy, with nine different makers from across the globe. It includes everything from handmade tableware to coasters, rope baskets to art prints—each carefully designed to create a comfortable and inviting space.

“I wanted to create items I could picture myself using in my own home,” Tia explains about the collection. She narrowed down the artisans she wanted to partner with by specifically looking for makers who shared a similar ethos and design vision to her own.

This idea became a driving force for the limited edition line, which is a partnership that took the craftsmanship and expertise of the Etsy sellers and married it with her own personal style—something she’s become increasingly known for because of her popular YouTube series, Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix. The items in the collection combine Tia’s love of neutrals with pops of textural, metallic, and natural elements to create an assemblage with a strong monochromatic palette and hints of geometric patterns, organic shapes, and soft natural textures.

The 13-piece collection includes goods for just about every room in the home and marries form with function: “I’m someone who loves decor that’s both beautiful and functional,” says Tia. Whimsical ceramic fruit baskets by Pennsylvania-based From Donna’s Hands and minimalist, organically shaped tableware from Oregon-based Tagliaferro Ceramics make for easy dining and storage for the kitchen. For the living room, playful black and white serving trays and tea towels from Canadian purveyor Keephouse Studio, along with a set of four geometric coasters from Canada’s Mind the Minimal, work with nearly any color palette.

You can tell Tia is inspired by monochromatic neutrals, texture, and natural elements with these coasters.

These tea towels are 100% linen and screen printed with water-based environmentally friendly inks.

We can imagine the printed pillows from California-based Chloe and Olive Pillows, cheery black-and-white prints from printmaker Dee Beale, and candles from UK-based Chelsea Candle enlivening a bedroom. Ceramic jars with contrasting lids from California-based SampleHAUS and handmade rope storage baskets from Canada-based Coastal Craftwork are versatile, practical, and perfect for stashing away keys, jewelry, makeup, and more.

These graphic prints are digitally printed onto a softly textured, heavyweight paper.

Store anything and everything in these patterned clay jars.

“I’m honored to be able to use my platform to shine a light on such talented makers and artisans,” says Tia, so much so that she displays every item in the collection in her own home; the black and white lidded jars house her go-to earrings, for example. As people are forced to spend more time indoors these days, she hopes “that this collection helps others bring to life their own interpretation of a relaxing oasis, and create a comfortable and inviting space where they can focus on spending quality time with loved ones.” We can’t wait to serve ourselves (and, hopefully soon) friends and family using the trays, dishware, and more from the collaboration.

Add a graphic element to your seating area with these soft cotton pillow covers.

These baskets are made of rope and have a strong core for durability and longevity.
